International Animation Day 2021 in KYOTO

An article on the “International Animation Day 2021 in Kyoto” held at Kyoto University of the Arts on November 23, 2021 was distributed on the university’s public relations website, Uryu Tsushin(in Japanese only).

International Animation Day 2021 in KYOTO

“International Animation Day 2021 in KYOTO” was held on November 23rd, at Kyoto University of the Arts, as a special class of the Design Field, Graduate School.
As a program commemorating ASIFA 60 years and ASIFA-JAPAN 40 years, we were pleased to show “ASIFA-JAPAN Vol.1” (13 films). Also, connecting London – Kyoto, we were pleased to invite Michael Dudok De Wit to hold an online lecture as well as a film show at the venue.

At the same time, as a collaborative project, “Hiroshima International Animation Festival Photo Exhibition” was held during November 18th – 24th. ASIFA 60 years and ASIFA-JAPAN 40 years was celebrated at one of the exhibits as well.
This photo exhibition was held as part of an archiving project of Hiroshima International Animation Festival documents, supported by Kyoto University of the Arts Special Research and Production Grant.
