Koji Morimoto, a talented animation director having numerous enthusiastic fans around the world, will make a presentation of a new animation project in collaboration with students of Osaka Designers’ College. Morimoto will present “imaginary news”, which could be a happy future plan for human beings that may happen in reality.

Program A : 53 Years of “Yan-bo Ma-bo”,
a lecture by Yasuo Nakamura
A lecture by Yasuo Nakamura, who is a talented animator working in the frontline for more than half a century in Osaka. Nakamura started making the famous animation for “Yan-bo Ma-bo Weather Forecast” when he was 19 years old. Various anecdotes from the time he started the production will be talked, as well as “the key to continue your creative work” will be lectured for young animation students. A special program of “Yan-bo Ma-bo Weather Forecast” showing the animation techniques and the change of expression during decades will also be screened.

Program B : Animation made by Filmmakers of Western Japan
Those films, which cannot be forgotten in the history of Japanese animation, made by filmmakers from western Japan, will be shown. Each film will be introduced accompanied by the context of the time when the film was made.
