(5) Guard Dog
Directed by:Bill Plympton /2004/5:15/U.S.A.
HIROSHIMA 04/Special Prize

This film was inspired by a dog I saw in the park barking at all these innocent objects. Why was this dog so angry at these harmless items? This film answers that mystery. The dog could also be seen as a metaphor for President Bush and his foreign policy.

A film about innocence, corruption and bogeymen.

(7) Mount Head
Directed by:Koji Yamamura /2002/10:00/Japan

As a stingy man ate some cherry seeds, a cherry tree grows on his head and he finds himself in a lot of troubles. This film is a new interpretation of the traditional Japanese Rakugo story "AtamaYama" set in contemporary Tokyo.
