Dear Friends,

I am very pleased to inform you that ASIFA-JAPAN – one of the most active national branches of Association Internationale du Film d’Animation – will be celebrating its 30th birthday on December 22nd, 2011.
Established in 1981, ASIFA-JAPAN has been working ceaselessly, steadily and friendly for the betterment of animation field, in accordance with the rules and regulations of ASIFA. Today, we have more than 60 members consisted of leading animation professionals in Japan, including filmmakers, directors, producers, photographers, editors, critics, scholars, teachers, distributors, curators, cooperating each other to develop our field.

It is really wonderful that we could open our official web site on the occasion of 30th anniversary. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our Website Committee members for their very hard voluntary work of constructing and managing the site. I truly hope that our web site will be informative and useful, conveying many update news of our members, to contribute to the development of animation field internationally.
